Youthful and buoyant, The Criticals are bringing alternative indie rock back home to itself.

Established by Parker Forbes and Cole Shugart, the Nashville-based band is very clearly approaching music with fun as their dharma, which is what makes their music so irresistibly magnetic. Like a glass of bubbly, like a carpool to the afters, everything about their music encapsulates the joy of being young and uninhibited.

Hearlded by their latest single, "Here Comes My Doll," The Criticals are displaying the full range of their potential. The new single, and previously released single “Adoringly Drunk,” are reminiscent of early Two Door Cinema Club, while the previously released “Good Lookin” feels The Dare adjacent. They maintain a quick pulse and high energy, a vibrancy that could only be bred from the frequency of joy. All of this builds up to their highly anticipated full-length album arriving September 12.

The infectious new single arrives alongside a music video that further builds on the band's nostalgic yet timeless appeal. Slated to electrify the upcoming Lollapalooza stage this summer, The Criticals are keen on cementing their space in the alternative rock atmosphere. We’re now witnessing the inception of a new indie rock renaissance.
