papichuloteej's "Boyfriend" Is an Instant Earworm
Las Vegas native papichuloteej has been steadily building a cult following and it's no surprise why. Formerly known as Teej, the multi-talented artist released a six-track EP titled 1080p back in 2019 that soon took fans by storm, with the opening track "BYE" quickly becoming a breakout moment for the artist. And with the release of his recent Homecoming EP, that initial hype solidified papichuloteej as an artist to watch.
papichuloteej breaks his 2021 silence with "Boyfriend," arguably his best song to date. The track has an immediately catchy hook, "I know she know that I know she got a boyfriend." "Boyfriend" sits in between a wide variety of sounds and styles. The production has elements of alternative hip-hop, while papichuloteej's performance on the track has all the markings of a pop hit.
The accompanying music video for "Boyfriend" features direction from Arizona-based video production company, Overcast. The summery and colorful tone of the video perfectly parallels papichuloteej's performance on the track. It's safe to say papichuloteej has something special on his hands.
