Not shying away from her relationship with her faith, Mariah the Scientist doubles down on her spiritual devotion, opening with “Heaven is a Place on Earth.” The track ideates what the afterlife could look like, further committing her time on earth to her craft and true love. Luxury’s temptation could never divert her prowess, which speaks to the self-built empire she stands atop.
Dropping the album on her 26th birthday, To Be Eaten Alive marks an important checkpoint in her musical journey. Signing a new joint venture record deal with Epic Records, she’s ushering in an up-leveling of stardom that can only be attributed to her ability. Her fandom is devout, and it’s because they recognize that she stands with the likes of Victoria Monét and Coco Jones, women continuing to maintain rightful ownership of the R&B genre.

She even coordinated drops with boyfriend Young Thug, with the album’s lead single “From A Woman” released alongside the fellow Atlanta-based rapper’s single “From A Man.”
With features from more musical guests like 21 Savage and Vory, To Be Eaten Alive stands as Mariah the Scientists’ most thorough project yet.
