Longingly Danceable, Harper Finn's "Satellite" Is An Indie Pop Gem

Harper Finn unveils “Satellite’” the dreamy indie-pop gem lifted from his debut album Silo Park, set for release on October 31, 2025.

“Satellite” is infused with wistful danceability, both upbeat and longing for something out of each. Harper Finn’s sonic palette is reminiscent of early 2010s indie rock with his juxtaposition of warm, full bodied lead vocals and bass with the light percussiveness of acoustic guitars and buoyant harmonies. There’s hints of Grouplove and Young the Giant intertwined with the organic finesse of producer Sam Evian’s style (Big Thief, Cass McCombs).

Both intimate and expansive, “Satellite” captures the longing of love stretched across distance. Harper paints the picture of a connection that remains luminous even when physically apart:

“I can see you out there, shining on your own, like a satellite sending messages home…”

The track was written during a New York winter, echoing the stark solitude of the city while holding onto the warmth of memory and imagination. Its reflective lyrics and glowing atmosphere further expand the emotional landscape that defines his impending album, Silo Park.
