With millions of streams and a co-sign from Elton John, Virginia’s very own greek won’t falter at proving he’s indie’s most promising. Ushering in a new era with his latest single “THERE FOR YOU,” there’s an addictive elixir imbued within his work, leading a ravenous audience on his trail.
Effortlessly suave with a crooning sound, greek’s music has landed him on Fresh Indie, Fresh Finds R&B, and Fresh Finds by Spotify, as well as on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music Radio. His decision to pack up everything and move to Los Angeles was made only a summer ago, and his exponential growth since then can only be attributed to the raw talent and perfected mysticism of his work. The self-produced alternative artist wears his heart on his sleeve and dresses it in falsettos and atmospheric instrumentation, both dizzying and electrifying.
“THERE FOR YOU” is a poem that kisses the uncertainty of uncertainty. Coming fresh off his summer tour with Weston Estate, he’s living a life much more quickly paced, pouring any slow beats of introspection he can find into his lyrics. Accompanied by a video that follows greek jumping over life’s impervious hurdles to declare sweet nothings at a balcony-ridden lover, it’s clear he’s running headfirst into life. He’s an open-hearted child with the bravery to chase his dreams and the confidence to trust it’ll all work out.
With more promised to come, he shares via Instagram caption “I’m just taking a bit extra time with these songs, but I’m happy right now.” That contentment is contagious, and there’s little doubt that the time he’s spent honing will only birth an even greater musical up-leveling for the burgeoning indie artist.
