What if losing your mind wasn’t such a bad thing after all? Ramping up for the release of his highly anticipated Dear Insanity… EP, Korean-Australian global sensation DPR IAN confronts this very question on the raunchy anti-pop single, “So I Danced.”

A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, DPR IAN is an artist in every sense of the word. Effortlessly crafting entire worlds out of the floating figments of his mind, it’s no wonder he leaves the world captivated—everyone is just trying to catch a drip of sweat.

The artist is no stranger to success, with his previous project ranking #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, #6 on the World’s Albums chart, and #7 on Spotify's Top Albums Debut Global and US charts. Garnering millions of followers, streams, and views, the world is steadily staring in a state of awe. He’s an enigma to be studied, a rare sight you typically only hear hushed whispers of.

“So I Danced” is a Joker-esque ballad, a crucial puzzle piece to the storyboard the artist is building through masterful CGI and cinematic storytelling. Though you can’t help but groove to the infectious single, the lyrics tell a dreadful tale of decay, without the compromise of charm.

Speaking to the unfolding plot, the artist shares “Dear Insanity… follows IAN’s journey to and throughout the dreamlike realm known as ‘The Other Side.’ As he traverses through The Other Side, IAN slowly begins to lose his sanity bit by bit, thus turning into his new alter ego ‘Mr. Insanity’ at the story’s climax.” Referring to the latest single, he adds, "In a series of insane and deadly events, Insanity is met with the question of how he feels about all this to which he begins dancing, indicating he is clearly not in the right state of mind. ”

His upcoming EP, due to land October 6, promises to only dive deeper into the themes of shadows and the darkness within. As the visuals already promise, DPR IAN is only getting started in proving to the world why, through every avenue, he is an artist without comparison.
