Dogpark Pays Homage to Indie Rock Influences with "I Don't Mind"

Today, New York-based indie rock band Dogpark unveils their new single “I Don’t Mind” – out now via Severance Records/Big Loud Rock.

“I Don’t Mind” is a blast into the 2010s indie rock past, with nostalgic fuzzed vocals and riff-based guitars that feel delightfully reminiscent of influential faves. The song opens with a bold, roaming guitar riff that sets the foundation for the track. Dogpark layers in descending guitar melodies, perfectly offsetting the vivid grit in the vocals.

Oscillating between a straight ahead groove to a disco beat, the drums lead the march on the chorus, infusing it with a Strokes-adjacent brightness. Lead singer, Eamon Moore, leans into the grit of the vocals here, slipping into a higher, flowing range while the fuzz colors his voice.

Dogpark accompanies the release of “I Don’t Mind” with a true personality piece of a music video. We see the band in their best office attire, rocking out on the screens of boxy 90s computers amongst classroom skeletons and filing cabinets.

A cheeky homage to their indie rock influences, with a music video showcasing the band’s infectious presence, “I Don’t Mind” continues to put Dogpark on the map of leading alternative artists.
