Acclaimed Canadian singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin wrestles with longing in her latest single, "99 Nights." The single is an infectious earworm that sees the Montréal-born, Paris-based artist come to terms with her yearning for a cold lover, putting her captivating vocals on full display to illustrate the unfortunately relatable experience.

"99 Nights" opens with a nostalgic blend of Cardin's rich vocals and dreamy, guitar-driven instrumentals. The singer pleads with her lover, asking if there's something she can do to regain the love and affection they used to give her. She asks, "How many nights before you take me / Back to the moment where I felt your love?" as subdued guitar strums weave in and out of her soulful vocals. In the tension-building pre-chorus, she declares, "99 nights go by / Baby, that shit don't fly."

In the song's second half, Cardin continues to ponder why her partner has become so distant. As the track swells into the bridge, she looks inward, asking herself, "Am I looking for something / You could never give me at all?" As the song comes to its close, she questions if there's something she can do before the heartbreaking single fades into the ether.

Alongside the release of the stunning single, Cardin has announced that her forthcoming sophomore album 99 Night is set to release August 25. The title track follows Cardin's most recent releases, "Confetti" and "Looping," which garnered widespread excitement and praise from critics and fans alike. She will take the album on the road for an international headline tour kicking off August 30 with stops in New York City at Irving Plaza, Los Angeles at the El Rey Theatre, and Paris at L'Olympia.
