If you’ve been keeping your ears to the underground, then there is a high probability you’ve come across the Los Angeles-based, by way of Park City, Utah, multi-hyphenate Buppy. The 19-year-old artist is impossible to put in a box, alchemizing several genres to concoct his signature sound. As a fan, it’s been incredible to witness his growth in the past 18 months. Possessing an approach eerily reminiscent of The Truman Show, inviting his followers to intimately follow his quest to superstardom on TikTok, he most recently released what is quite possibly his best work to date.

Assumingly inspired by his 2023 Spring run at SXSW, "comfort, texas" signifies Buppy. coming progressively more into his own form. The third single from his upcoming EP, preceded by"park city, utah" and "miranda," "comfort, texas" is easily the best pop song Buppy. has crafted yet. With coming-of-age themes and visceral lyrics, the song hits like a sucker punch of instant nostalgia. At his finest, buppy.'s songwriting is reminiscent of primo gonzo journalism, intimately holding up his highs and lows to the same degree of unabashed vulnerability. 

As anticipation continues to build in tandem with the inevitable release of his second full-length project, so does buppy.’s momentum.
