Based in London yet steadily building out a global audience, Artemas is only at the beginning of his rise, yet he’s already your favorite underground artists’ favorite underground artist. Two weeks out from his official mixtape release, PRETTY, set to release February 9, the anticipation is bubbling at the brim for what is to come. 

With a tone both sinister and broken, the pull of Artemas’ sound is too alluring to resist. Reminiscent of dark indie’s golden age, “ur special to me” could easily sell itself as a bonus track on The Weeknd’s 2011 House of Balloons.

Sharing that he was nearly done with his Artemas persona, ready to give in and start over only two months before making “can’t stop loving you,” his overthinking was impeded by the sudden success of his intoxicating sound. He’s a testament to being in unrelenting pursuit of what is authentic, knowing that no matter how long or what route, it will always pay off. With his first-ever headline show coming up next month at London’s The Lower Third and more cities to follow, it’s clear his standing on business is still paying off.
